Overall, I love the balance in the strategy here. You can really suffer if you make mistakes, but it's not so finely tuned that it becomes a puzzle game. The strategy feels open, where you have a lot of options, BUT you actually have to think. It's based on "Into the Breach", and is practically a rip-off in many ways, BUT, Into the Breach is kind of creating a new genre (which the devs are actually kinda becoming famous for!), so I'm actually really glad to see "rip-offs" taking the genre in a further direction. The strategy in this is really quite fun. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I've had to beat the game a few times, and I've had to try some clever manoeuvres to get all the achievements, but it's entirely doable in a reasonable amount of time, and then I can move on, still having a great impression of the game, rather than wasting more time in a monotonous grind. I literally feel disrespected at times, haha. I absolutely hate it when a dinky little game has achievements that require playing the game WAY past the time frame it's worth. Indie games SHOULD be a short experience, where you enjoy yourself, and then you're done. A VERY common problem in indie games is that the devs take their work SO seriously (which is good!) that they think their game is worth hundreds of hours, when it's just not. My main point I love, is that it's fun, to the point, and doesn't take forever to finish. This is exactly what an indie game should be.
